GLOBAL MEDICAL MISSIONS

STATEMENT OF FAITH

GMM holds to the following:

  1. The world and all in it belong to God. Created perfect, sin entered the world wreaking suffering and disease.
  2. Jesus Christ came into the world to die as a vicarious atonement for our sin, and to be resurrected to bring assurance of victory over death and eternal life with God.
  3. God uses us as His instruments of restoration and total healing: emotional, spiritual and physical. His Spirit and His Word empower us in this ministry.
  4. As we conduct a medical ministry, we seek to demonstrate God's love and compassion.
  5. We commit to tell others of Jesus Christ as the only answer to mankind's ruin in sin.
  6. We commit to accompany quality healthcare with the efforts of evangelism and discipleship.
  7. We recognize that all resulting benefit and productivity of our labors is a result of God's gracious working through our vessels of broken clay.
  8. We affirm: "He is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us. To Him be the glory ..." (Ephesians 3:20-21, NIV)

THE CHRISTIAN MEDICAL & DENTAL ASSOCIATION has written a statement of Core Values, which GLOBAL MEDICAL MISSIONS herein fully endorses.

We will fulfill our mission by committing to be:

  • Christ-like
    • "Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 2:5)
  • Controlled by the Holy Spirit
    • "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will bring glory to me by taking from what is mine and making it known to you." (John 16:13,14)
  • Committed to Scripture
    • "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." (Psalm 119:105)
  • Communing in Prayer
    • "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all  the saints." (Ephesians 6:18)
  • Compassionate
    • "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34,35)
  • Competent
    • "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in Heaven." (Matthew 15:16)
  • Courageous
    • "For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • Culturally Relevant
    • "... men of Issachar, who understood the time and knew what Israel should do ..." (1 Chronicles 12:32)
