Global Medical Missions has been providing quality medical education since our founding in 2001. Physicians, nurses and other healthcare professions are training medical workers in many medical centers throughout China, with a focus to bring quality care and caring to the 85% of Chinese without satisfactory access to care. The volunteer teams' ULTIMATE goal, though, is to bring as many as possible into a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus. GLOBAL MEDICAL MISSIONS has a 50-year contract with the Communist Party, permitting incredibly free access to ALL levels of society in China. GMM needs medical supplies, medications and volunteer workers."
MISSION & VISION
It is our mission to bring individuals all over the world into God's Kingdom through medicine. "Enlarge the place of your tent, stretch your tent curtains wide, do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes." (Isaiah 54:2, NIV)
We believe the best way to achieve this goal is:
- by sacrificially serving those in need
- by pursuing professional competence
- by living out the character of Christ
- by integrating faith into practice
- by bringing people to Christ
- by speaking out as a trusted voice respecting healthcare issues of the day
- by recruiting physicians to follow in His steps with us
TACTICAL GOALS ...
GMM, Lord willing, plans:
- to continue leading teams of professors into China in coordination with COIMEA/CMDA
- to continue as a faculty member with CMDE according to need
- to provide hands-on urologic care overseas
- to train national and expatriate physicians in sound urologic care
- to consult with overseas physicians by phone/fax/email on "problem cases"
- to arrange for deeply-discounted and/or donated equipment/supplies requisite to and appertaining to the mission
- to conduct a variety of spiritual ministries, including but not limited to:
- counseling
- preaching/teaching/leading in Bible study
- writing for sectarian and secular publications
- to recruit physicians to active involvement in medical missions
